Manual welding is a basic operation skill in electronic product assembly. It is suitable for product trial production, small batch production of electronic products, debugging and maintenance of electronic products, and some occasions that are not suitable for automatic welding. It is a welding process that uses a soldering iron to heat the metal parts to be welded and tin lead solder, the molten solder moistens the heated metal surface to form an alloy, and connects the metal parts to be welded after the solder solidifies, so it is also called tin welding. Electronic products will be damaged by static electricity generated by themselves or people during welding, so anti-static measures shall be taken during welding. Manual welding is one of the important causes of electrostatic electrical overload EOS. In order to help you have a better understanding, the following contents are sorted out by the core detection network for your reference.
The anti-static measures for manual welding are introduced as follows:
(1) Workers entering the work area must be grounded
When workers enter the anti-static area, they need to discharge. Operators must wear anti-static work clothes, shoes, socks and gloves during operation. Electrostatic protection safety inspection must be conducted before each operation, and production can be carried out only after it is qualified.
(2) Use wrist strap (foot strap) correctly and ground it correctly
① The first step in operation is to wear an antistatic wrist strap.
② Measure whether the wrist strap is effective and whether the workbench grounding point is effective every day.
③ The method of measuring wrist strap (foot strap) must be correct.
④ Although many manufacturers use automatic wristband testers, it is often seen that the wristband is too loose and fails.
Since it is more convenient to wear wrist strap for sitting operation and anti-static foot strap for standing operation, it is better to wear both (wrist strap and foot strap) at the same time.
(3) Operate on the anti-static workbench. It is forbidden to place non production items on the workbench
Necessary items shall be placed on the workbench 12 inches away from the electrostatic sensitive device.
(4) Use an ion generator if necessary
① According to the grade of electrostatic sensitive components in the product, the ion generator shall be used if necessary.
② The ion generator blows out ionized air flow in the working area, which can neutralize the charge accumulated on the insulating material.
③ Another advantage of the ion generator is that it can also prevent dust static electricity from adhering to the product.
(5) Manual welding tools must be well grounded and qualified anti-static tools shall be used
① Soldering iron, tin absorber and other tools must be well grounded.
② Do not use ordinary plastic screw drivers, plastic tin suckers, nylon brushes, and labels composed of insulating material layers to prevent static electricity from accumulating.
(6) Identify anti-static labels and signs
Identify anti-static labels and signs. SSD manufacturers or imported static sensitive materials generally have special labels on SSD packages. Labels are usually printed in orange as a warning.
(7) All operations of electrostatic sensitive components shall be carried out on the anti-static workbench
① To prevent eos/esd from damaging SSD, all operations, assembly and tests must be carried out on the anti-static workbench.
② Try to avoid static electricity caused by the movement of sensitive elements in the package.
③ Even if there is no electrostatic sensitive component mark, the assembly shall be operated as an electrostatic sensitive assembly.
(8) Do not stack the assembly plates to prevent mechanical damage
The assembly boards to be welded and welded shall be inserted into the anti-static printed board rack and turnover box one by one to prevent mechanical damage.
(9) Protect processed products
The tested and inspected qualified electronic assembly boards shall be sprayed once with an ion spray gun before sealing to eliminate the possible accumulated static charge.
The above is the manual welding anti-static related content of the core detection small editing. I hope it can help you.
