According to the RoHS regulations issued by the European Union, the limits of six hazardous substances in electronic components, lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated diphenyl ethers and polybrominated biphenyls, shall not exceed 1000ppm, of which the limit of cadmium is 100ppm. Those meeting these requirements are environmental protection products. The ROHS test report issued by the third testing organization is required for evaluation. RoHS is a mandatory standard formulated by EU law, with the full name of restriction of hazardous substances. This standard was officially implemented on July 1, 2006. It is mainly used to standardize the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products to make them more in line with the requirements of human health and environmental protection.

Rohs2 of 2011 / 65 / EC standard 0 test item is modified to rohs10 item.
In addition to the original six restricted substances, hexabromobiphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) added four restricted substances: DEHP, BBP, DBP and DiBP (limit requirements: 0.1%).
1. EU Member States shall formulate and modify necessary laws, regulations and management regulations in accordance with the requirements of the directive no later than December 31, 2016.
2. EU Member States shall implement this provision from July 22, 2019.
3. Restrictions on DEHP, BBP, DBP and DiBP in medical equipment (including in vitro medical equipment) and monitoring and control instruments (including industrial monitoring and control instruments) will begin from July 22, 2021.
4. The restrictions on DEHP, BBP, DBP and DiBP are not applicable to the cables or parts for maintenance, reuse, function renewal or function upgrading of EEE (electronic and electrical equipment) put on the market before July 22, 2019, nor to the medical equipment (including in vitro medical equipment) put on the market before July 22, 2021, Cables or parts for maintenance, reuse, function renewal or function upgrading of monitoring and control instruments (including industrial monitoring and control instruments).
5. The restrictions on DEHP, BBP and DBP are not applicable to toys. DEHP, BBP and DBP in toys have been controlled by Article 51 of annex XVII of (EC) no 1907 / 2006 reach regulation.
How long is the EU ROHS certification valid and can the report be used all the time?
ROHS test report is based on product analysis. As long as the product materials, production process and process remain unchanged, the test report can be valid for a long time. However, some international well-known enterprises will require your report to be valid for one year or half a year when purchasing your products, some Korean companies may require it to be valid for three months, and some companies require only inspection of each batch of goods. The purpose of this is to constantly monitor the stability of suppliers' products, which completely depends on the needs of buyers.
However, once it is found that the product has changed, such as production process change, production process change, or supplier change, it needs to be retested. These are businesses' self-protection practices. At present, general enterprises require it to be effective within one year.
How long is the certification valid by the European environmental protection agency? Products involving ROHS directive?
RoHS directive covers a wide range of products, covering almost all electronic, electrical, medical, communication, toys, security information and other products. It includes not only the whole machine products, but also the parts, raw materials and packaging used in the whole production process, involving the whole production chain.
How much does ROHS certification cost?
Accurate ROHS test price requires you to provide product pictures and bill of materials. Different materials need to be tested for harmful substances, and different packaging materials need to be tested respectively, so the charge is the same. It depends on the products tested and cannot be generalized. We can provide you with one-stop service solutions such as ROHS certification evaluation, technical consultation and testing, so as to save money for you with our experience and expertise.
