EMC test is also called electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The full name is electro magnetic compatibility, which refers to the comprehensive evaluation of the electromagnetic interference (EMI) and anti-interference capability (EMS) of electronic products. It is one of the important indicators of product quality. The measurement of electromagnetic compatibility consists of test sites and test instruments. The purpose of EMC test is to detect the impact of electromagnetic radiation generated by electrical products on human body, public power grid and other normal electrical products.
EMC is a very important quality index, which not only relates to the working reliability and use safety of the product itself, but also may affect the normal operation of other equipment and systems and the protection of electromagnetic environment. The European community government stipulates that from January 1, 1996, all electrical and electronic products must pass EMC certification and be affixed with CE mark before they can be sold in the European Community market.
